Boiler Upgrade Scheme (England & Wales)

2026 changes: Scheme extended to 2030 (Spending Review June 2025). Air-to-air and exhaust-air heat pumps added. EPC requirement removed. £9,000 uplift for off-grid oil/LPG conversions from July 2026.

Conditions: Households in fuel poverty / low income. Qualifying benefits: Universal Credit, Pension Credit, Income Support, income-based JSA/ESA, Working Tax Credit, Child Benefit (under thresholds), etc. Properties with EPC D-G (priority E, F, G). ECO4 Flex (up to 50% of obligation): low-income non-benefits, declared via Local Authority.
